The National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) guidelines state that preschool aged children should get at least 60 minutes of structured physical activity a day as well as 60 plus minutes of unstructured physical activity.Young children learn by doing, and “active play” or “physical literacy” includes both structured and unstructured activities.
