Exploring Active Energetic Play in Alberta Child Care Centres

This study was conducted to better understand potential barriers to providing active energetic/risky play. The researchers did this by by hearing the perspectives of ECEs, parents, licensing officers, health inspectors, and owners and operators across Alberta.

Physical Activity: A Dilemma in Child Care

Examines early childhood educators attitudes, knowledge, and support for incorporating physical literacy into their child care programming.

APPLE in the Early Years

Examines active play and physical literacy from a holistic development perspective. The APPLE Model is used to spread awareness of physical literacy and active play in the early years.
